Fast & Furious 7 will be the next installment in the Fast and the Furious series, following up the events of Fast & Furious 6. Justin Lin has announced he will not be directing. James Wan is signed on as director for the next film. Jason Statham will play the villain, Ian Shaw, the brother of Owen Shaw (Luke Evans, Fast & Furious 6). Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris are all signed on for the film as their original characters from previous films. Fast & Furious 7 will be released to theaters in July 6, 2014. Filming will start in August 2013. Wan has also hinted that the movie will feature more 'old school' chase sequences. Dwayne Johnson confirmed that he will return for the film. Thai martial artist movie star Tony Jaa and UFC fighter Ronda Rousey are set to join the film.
