Bigil audio launch live updates: The audio launch of Bigil, starring Vijay and Nayanthara in the lead roles, is being held in Chennai. The Atlee directorial will release in October.

The music album of much-awaited film Bigil was unveiled on Thursday.

Billed as a sports drama, Bigil is expected to show Vijay in a different avatar. The first look posters that were released earlier suggested that the actor may be playing a double role of a father and son. The movie also stars Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Vivek, Varsha Bolamma, Indhuja, Kathir, Yogi Babu and Soundara Raja among others.

Bigil is expected to hit the screens this Diwali.

Bigil: Is this when the audio launch of Vijay film will take place?

Grapevine has it that the audio launch of Vijay's upcoming film, Bigil, will take place on August 15, as part of Independence Day celebrations.

Thalapathy Vijay is upbeat about his upcoming film Bigil, which is all set to release on Diwali 2019. The film marks the third collaboration of Vijay and director Atlee after delivering two blockbuster hits namely, Theri and Mersal. The sports-based action-drama stars Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Yogi Babu, Vivekh, Indhuja Ravichandran and Varsha Bollamma in pivotal roles.

Recently, it was revealed that Vijay has crooned the introduction song named Verithanam under AR Rahman's composition. Now, there's a lot of expectation on the album of Bigil. Rumours are rife that the audio launch will take place on August 15, as part of Independence Day celebrations.

However, close sources from Bigil team revealed that they haven't zeroed in on a date as of now. AR Rahman, in an earlier interview, appreciated director Atlee's vision and stated that he hasn't done a film (sports-drama) like this in South India.

As the shooting is progressing at a brisk pace, the makers of Bigil are expected to announce the audio launch date soon.

Speaking about Bigil, AR Rahman said, "I have done films like this (Bigil) in Hollywood, but haven't done one in South India. Director Atlee has seen my films like Pele and Lagaan. He is a passionate person and his sensibility in music is good. He has listened to all my soundtracks and would ask for a particular type of music in his film."

He also lauded Atlee's vision and determination and added, "I love directors like that, who involve themselves in the entire process. Only directors who enjoy the music would justify with their visuals. He is not lethargic and pays attention to each and every lyric and mixing as well."
