There's a fine line between persuasion/influence and manipulation. Manipulation is plainly said emotional abuse and it's part of our Psyche, or as Carl Jung would call it; our Shadow.

Our ancient ancestors started the trend and everbody has been tagging along. Thankfully, in today's world, manipulation is considered as something deceitful and not good. However, there was one philosopher named Machiavelli. And he was a real OG red pill philosopher. He looked at how authority figures gained power and wrote down what he saw in his legendary book called 'The Prince'. He wrote down what he saw unapologetically, meaning he didn't censor anything. He didn't morally judge the tactics and strategies these leaders employed to gain and keep in power.

Even though some of these tactics that were written in The Prince, are definitely considered to be bad for your mental health and are basically just another form of emotional abuse, there's definitely knowledge to be gained here. In fact, you could learn how manipulators think and approach things.
