"महाशिवरात्रि” ‘The Night of Shiva’ is celebrated with devotion and religious fervor in honor of Lord Shiva, one of the deities of Hindu Trinity. शिवरात्री falls on the moonless 14th night of the new moon in the Hindu month of फाल्गुन, which corresponds to the month of March- March in English Calendar. Celebrating the festival of शिवरात्री devotees observe day and night fast and perform ritual worship of Shiva लिंगम to appease Lord Shiva.

भोले की भक्ति में मुझे डूब जाने दो
शिव के चरणों में शीश झुकाने दो
आई है शिवरात्रि मेरे भोले बाबा का दिन
आज के दिन मुझे भोले के गीत गाने दो
