And also that they behave in a way where fast bowlers win more Test matches than spinners on them. And while rain prevented the two teams from getting a final viewing of the surface before the opening day of the series, it's unlikely to change texture or form over the next five days of action. The Aussies should feel at home in terms of the temperatures, which will feel more similar to the autumn air currently back home than the stereotypical dry heat that's expected of subcontinent tours. Team News Pakistan: They have been a stable Test team in recent years in terms of their make-up but last-minute injuries will mean a possible change in team composition. They funnily enough will have to pick between two experienced openers in Shan Masood and Imam-Ul-Haq to partner the talented youngster, Abdullah Shafique. Faheem Ashraf is a big loss but Mohammad Wasim Jnr is said to be deceptively nippy off the surface and having played only 7 first-class games brings that unchartered quality to him. The return of Naseem Shah might not create the same level of buzz that his arrival to Test cricket did in Australia a couple of years ago but he does have a point to prove to David Warner, Steve Smith and company. Probable XI: Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood/Imam-Ul-Haq, Azhar Ali, Babar Azam (c), Fawad Alam, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Nauman Ali, Sajid Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah. Australia: For all the usual talk around the prospect of playing two spinners every time they get to the subcontinent, Australia have historically had more success here when they've stuck to their strengths. And the reputation of Rawalpindi as being more in favour of pace, should make the final decision much easier for Andrew McDonald and George Bailey with the visitors expected to start the series with their potentially hall of fame attack with Cameron Green looking to build on his dramatic bowling improvements at this level over the summer. There is also of course the romantic aspect of Usman Khawaja's homecoming at the top of the order. Probable XI: David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith (vc), Travis Head, Cameron Green, Alex Carey (wk), Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood.
