"The sea created us" say the Garifuna. These descendants of slaves live today in tightly bound communities away from the noise of the world, along the coast of Honduras. One foot in the sea, the other in the ground, united, the Garifuna have never forgotten their African roots and perpetuate their traditions against all odds.
