The Banshees of Inisherin - Spec Trailer (Fanmade)

video thumbnail
One of my most anticipated films of 2022 was The Banshees of Inisherin. I'm a big fan of Martin McDonagh and In Bruges is one of my favorite movies of all time. So it's no surprise that I couldn't wait to see the In Bruges on screen reunion. The movie is incredibly well written and well paced. It had me question what the themes and symbolism was. Besides its obvious great performances by Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Kerry Condon and Barry Keoghan, with its comfortingly painful music and magical cinematography, it has an originally spellbinding plot, crafted in such a way that it escapes how uncommon it is. I can't praise this movie enough.

On a remote island off the coast of Ireland, Pádraic is devastated when his buddy Colm suddenly puts an end to their lifelong friendship. With help from his sister and a troubled young islander, Pádraic sets out to repair the damaged relationship by any means necessary. However, as Colm's resolve only strengthens, he soon delivers an ultimatum that leads to shocking consequences.
