Mehtab is a successful entrepreneur which took after his family’s business when he was 19. Walking down the road he faced many challenges in personal and professional life, but with strong vision he is managing to conquer them all. This talk is his personal view on life, his living in Slovenia and challenges that one must face. Mehtab Singh is from Punjab, India, and lives in Kranj. He is an entrepreneur and works in the food industry, in collaboration with his family’s business, which he took over at the age of 19.

He carried the business and his father’s legacy to the international platform, creating markets Europe wide and in North America.

He is a former hobby photographer. In 2008 he won a conceptual photography competition held in conjunction with the United Nations. His work was displayed in various international conferences worldwide including UN headquarters in New York City. For his contribution to the hot topic, the Indian state of Punjab conferred upon him the State award. In 2010 UNESCO published his work, which further was used to assist university teachers to be able to promote drawbacks of global warming and climate change.

Having travelled the world, he feels fortunate to live in Slovenia. His company has a tea store in Kranj and provides tea to various outlets around Slovenia. He believes business has the power to change things to good and is determined to serve every society he is involved in.

His new passion is mountaineering and rock climbing, which he feels is the essence of Slovene life. Despite coming from the country of Himalayas, only in Slovenia, he got the opportunity to explore the mountains. He has some great news to share about this new hobby.

His favourite quote is: Let’s make life taste better. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
