In her talk, Dr. Dolese talks about “The Beauty of Interconnection," and explains how artistic communication and the construction of meaning are the foundations for creating experience. Melissa J. Dolese is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at SUNY Potsdam. She received her PhD in the Psychology subprogram of Cognition, Brain and Behavior. Her research is in the area of empirical aesthetics. She teaches a course on that topic, as well as Sensory Psychology, Biopsychology, and Statistics. She also runs the Empirical Art and Aesthetics lab on campus. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
