Peter Mugendi in his talk speaks of forming a whole movement of purpose driven entrepreneurs transforming Africa forming a silent revolution that will get Africa off the SI unit of poverty. Peter is passionate about seeing businesses in Africa solve the most pressing challenges the continent faces through activation of faith in the marketplace. He is the founding director not only of Zaka International, an integrated peer-to-business lending platform, but also of Africa Council for Accreditation and Accountability (AfCAA). He is the immediate former national director for Transformational Business Network (TBN), an impact investment network. Previously served as CEO of Remu Microfinance Bank, CEO of VisionFund Kenya, and has held senior management positions at Barclays Africa and Sidian Bank. He holds an MBA,Finance from the University of Nairobi, a Global Executive Master of Business Administration from IESE Business School (Barcelona), and has completed executive education at Harvard Business School (USA) and Frankfurt School of Germany This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
