Reports Exit: Chelsea starlet further vindicates Spurs' transfer decision on 21yo this summer |
|
One of the crucial decisions facing the new Tottenham Hotspur boss in the summer was always going to be what to do with Oliver Skipp.
Skipp went into the end of last season off the back of an outstanding loan spell at Norwich City. No player featured more as the Canaries won the Championship title at a canter. It was no surprise therefore, that Daniel Farke wanted to keep the 21-year-old for another year. And for some, another spell at Carrow Road would have made a lot of sense. It would have seemed like the ideal next step for Skipp as he looked to prove himself in the Premier League. Ultimately however, Skipp stayed at Tottenham. Norwich meanwhile, would bolster their midfield options in the loan market by signing Billy Gilmour from Chelsea. For Spurs, that decision has looked like a masterstroke for some time. Skipp has been superb throughout Nuno Espirito Santo’s tenure. |
