IHME | Pandemics | The 1918 Flu Pandemic and the Imperative of Health Data

IHME commemorates the 100th year anniversary of the Spanish Flu, which reportedly caused one-third of the world to become sick and killed an estimated 100 million people. It was possibly the deadliest epidemic in human history. The resulting public health response set forth new standards and new fields of research in population health to help prevent and prepare for future outbreaks.
