Anti-violence campaigner steps down after sons' face assault charges |

Hinewhare Harawira has stepped down from any involvement to with the anti-violence campaign following revelations her three sons Mau Toa Harawira (30), Enesi Zane Brooks Taito (25), and Tohora Harawira (22), are facing charges after they followed a 12 year old boy home and assaulted him. Hinewhare Harawira played a huge part in leading an anti-violence campaign on Waitangi Day and she welcomed Sir Owen Glenn's inquiry into violence onto Te Tii Marae.
