The defense for James and Jennifer Crumbley has filed a new motion in the Michigan Supreme Court.

Shannon Smith who represents Jennifer Crumbley and Mariell Lehman who represents James Crumbley, in filings the attorneys are asking the state's highest court to dismiss their case and let them out of jail.

The couple is charged in connection to the shooting at Oxford High School on November 30, 2021.

Their son who was 15 years old at the time of the shooting and a student a Oxford High School allegedly opened fire killing four students, and injuring six other students and a teacher.

Each is charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter.
