Nascida na Síria, Dima Khatib é uma jornalista palestina. Trabalha desde 1997 como correspondente, produtora e diretora da sucursal latino-americana da rede Al Jazeera.
Antes da Al Jazeera, Khatib trabalhou com a Rádio Suíça Internacional em Berna. Durante a Guerra do Iraque, ela trabalhou como produtora de noticiário ao vivo em Doha. Concedeu entrevistas a Larry King e Wolf Blitzer, da CNN, e participou do filme Control Room, um documentário de 2004 a respeito da Al Jazeera e sua cobertura da invasão do Iraque em 2003.
Como diretora da sucursal latino-americana, ela informou que Chávez foi o primeiro chefe de Estado a condenar Israel enfaticamente por causa do conflito entre Israel e Líbano. De Caracas, ela desmentiu as alegações de que Gaddafi teria escapado para a Venezuela.
Ela recebeu atenção durante as revoluções árabes ao usar sua conta no Twitter para trazer atualizações e comentários a respeito dos acontecimentos recentes. É considerada uma das pessoas de origem árabe mais influentes no Twitter.

Dima Khatib is a Syrian-born Palestinian journalist. Since 1997, she has worked as a correspondent, producer, and Latin America Bureau Chief for the Al Jazeera network.
Prior to her work with Al Jazeera, Khatib has worked for Swiss Radio International in Bern. During the Iraq War, she worked as a live news producer in Doha. She gave an interview to CNN's Larry King and Wolf Blitzer, and was featured in Control Room, a 2004 documentary film about Al Jazeera and its coverage of the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
During her assignment as the Latin America Bureau Chief, she reported that Chávez was the first head of state to harshly condemn Israel over the Israeli-Lebanon conflict. She dismissed the claims that Gaddafi has escaped to Venezuela reporting from Caracas.
She received attention during Arab revolutions for providing frequent updates and commentary about recent events via her Twitteraccount. She has been classified among the most influential Arabs on Twitter.
