Columbia Open Access Week 2013 |
|
All this week (October 21-25, 2013) at Columbia University, we from the Center for Digital Research and Scholarship, along with our colleagues at Columbia Libraries/Information Services, are out on campus all day every day talking to students, faculty, and staff about open access, its benefits, and why it's relevant to them. We're also asking anyone and everyone to sign a petition in favor of open access of research at Columbia, which calls for faculty members and officers of administration to make their research articles freely available to the public through online repositories, such as Academic Commons, Columbia's open access digital repository. Oh, and we're making buttons and giving out an absurd amount of cookies.
We've blogged about our Open Access Week activities on the Center for Digital Research and Scholarship website: http://cdrs.columbia.edu/cdrsmain/2013/10/open-access-week-2013-at-columbia/ For a full listing of all Open Access Week events happening worldwide, visit the official Open Access Week website here: http://www.openaccessweek.org/events.
