No, Ubisoft didn't completely lose their mind — though the quality of their games remains questionable to me. I'm not a huge Assassin's Creed fan, but the idea that there was a black samurai... that's actually based on real history. As for the integration and historical accuracy thereof... yeah don't expect much from Ubisoft on that front...
Meet Yasuke: The first and only black samurai. It doesn't really get more epic than that, and it doesn't really need more of an introduction than that...
So let me do more of an introduction:
Yasuke was not only a black samurai, but also one of the closest associates to Oda Nobunaga, aka to Mr. Japan himself. Yasuke was seriously hot stuff, and I'm just waiting for the day Hollywood finally jumps on this... and doesn't screw it up. Buuuut they inevitably will screw it up, so before they, do.... let me tell you Yasuke's actual story in this video.

As you can probably tell, this video — and my previous video — were a bit shorter than my videos usually are. That's simply because, for one, these topics were easier to cover in less time, but also... all those videos that were thirty minutes to an hour long... they were taking a toll, man.
