NICOLA Sturgeon today branded footage of a Scots schoolgirl kicking another pupil in the head as “sickening”.

The First Minister was quizzed on the clip of the shocking incident in a classroom at Waid Academy in Anstruther, Fife, at a press conference today.

Asked if she’s seen the footage, she said: “I have watched the video from Waid Academy and it is appalling and sickening to watch.

"A really difficult watch to anyone who views it.”

Ms Sturgeon said she wasn’t going to say any more about the incident as it was not appropriate given ongoing inquiries.

But the First Minister said bullying was not acceptable “in any walk of life” and was important for politicians and people to “unite to say that”.
