So far the news has mainly been Nintendo-focused, with Apple showing that theyâre as ruthless as Ninty when it comes to pulling apps that donât meet their terms and conditions. Now, thereâs some good news for Sony fans, as the creator of PPSSPP Henrik Rydgard has written in his latest blog post that as long as Apple allows âemulators with ISO/ROM pickers, [then] PPSSPP will come to the App Store later this yearâ. Well, Iâve been doing some digging to get to the bottom of this, and I discovered via Android Authority that Apple has recently spoken to MacRumors about this very topic. (I know that sounds like playground âhe said, she saidâ, but stick with me). Apple has clarified that emulators on their app store can run ROMs so long as theyâre from retro games. So, considering Apple has said that emulators can play ROMs, things are looking good for Henrik Rydgard bringing my go-to PSP emulator to the iPhone, and the âretro caveatâ gets Apple out of the immediate line of fire for emulating consoles that still have games being produced for them. https://blog.playstation.com/2024/04/17/ghost-of-tsushima-directors-cut-pc-cross-play-and-system-requirements-revealed/ Your PS5 is a PC / Your PC is a PS5 Ghost of Tsushima Directorâs Cut is the first PlayStation title on PC that uses a new PlayStation overlay, which includes your Friends list, Trophies, Settings, and your Profile. This feature is available on Windows PCs and will be accessible from the in-game menu or, for keyboard players, by pressing the âSHIFT +F1â shortcut on your keyboard. While playing the game, you can earn PlayStation Trophies just like on PlayStation consoles. Ghost of Tsushima Directorâs Cut on PC shares the same Trophy set as the game on PlayStation 5 consoles*. In addition, the PC version also has full support for Achievements on Steam and the Epic Games Store. To make use of features like Trophies, Friends list, and cross-play, you can sign in with your existing account for PlayStation Network or create a new account. The use of PlayStation overlay is optional for both the single player experience and Legends mode. When bringing a game over from PlayStation consoles to PC, the team at Nixxes always strives to give a great experience to as many players as possible. In Ghost of Tsushima Directorâs Cut on PC, youâll find a range of graphics presets aimed at making the game run well on older hardware, as well as making it shine on high-end PCs.** Below youâll find the details on recommended hardware for various presets that are available in the game. PS5 Pro is Necessary - No Untapped Potential on PS5 It's funny seeing so many "why are Sony releasing the PS5 Pro? Devs haven't even fully utilized the PS5" comments. This isn't the 90s/2000s anymore, consoles aren't esoteric hardware like the N64 or PS3. There is no "hidden untapped potential" on the PS5. Over the last few decades all hardware vendors have converged to very similar designs. There is barely any difference in a CPU from Intel vs AMD vs Apple or a GPU from NVIDIA vs AMD vs Intel these days. Any optimization for one vendor applies to all others. Not to mention that all the tools used by devs (e.g compilers) have improved massively over the years and can extract most of potential performance with ease. Nobody does "to the metal" optimization these days because it's a) too hard b) largely unnecessary. By using our affiliate links we may receive compensation for purchases through those links. |
