On April 12, 2022, Ben Chew and Camille Vasquez, lawyers representing Johnny Depp, gave their opening statements to the jury. This began Johnny's journey to clear his name and tell the world of the abuse he suffered from Amber Heard.

On June 1, 2022, after 12 hours and 45 minutes of deliberation, the jury of seven found that Johnny Depp had proven all the elements of defamation on all three statements from Amber Heard's 2018 op-ed, including that the statements were FALSE, and that Amber Heard Defamed Johnny Depp with Actual Malice.
