In Episode 2, we'll be focusing on the fashion industry and its opportunity to build back with purpose. Sustainability and fashion have slowly become synonymous in public conversations over the last few years and there’s no doubt that we have all been educated on the devastating effects fashion has on people and the planet which is why we at CoGo built a fashion action into our app. COVID-19 seems to have propelled this further, with the likes of Gucci going seasonless to the ever needed debates on the safety and protection of garment workers, particularly in light of big brands not being for orders. In this episode, we’ll ask, is this fashion’s second chance to remodel the industry and if so, what caused the original model to be so detrimental to the earth and how do we begin? We’ll be hearing from leading voices in the industry, our speakers include:- - Safia Minney MBE - Founder, People Tree and author of Slave to Fashion - Eva Von Alvensleben - Executive Director of the Fashion Pact, campaigning and preparing business for the future - Professor Rebecca Earley - leading professor, sustainable fashion textile designer and co-founder of Centre for Circular Design at Chelsea College of Arts Download CoGo: https://cogo.co/uk/download |
