In this seminar, we'll be taking a closer look at an ancient style of Chinese martial art known as Tai Chi. For most people across the globe, Tai Chi remains one of the most recognisable styles of Chinese martial art, but do you know anything about its legendary origins or its venerable history?

During the first half of our seminar, we'll be dissecting the myths associated with the origins of Tai Chi and talking about what the study of Tai Chi generally entails. In particular, you'll have the opportunity to see some of the weird and wonderful weapon styles in Tai Chi that make it stand out as a martial art.

In the second half of the seminar, we'll be going through history behind five schools of Tai Chi known as the Chen school, the Yang school, the Wu-Hao school, the Wu school, and the Sun school. All styles of Tai Chi are believed to have originated from one of these five schools, and the Yang-style continues to rank as the most popular style of Tai Chi to this day.
