How will the Earth get to Net Zero Carbon? |
|
A review of some of the best ‘road maps’ with Andrew Craig and Staffan Engstrom
There are a bewildering array of ideas and options for overcoming the world’s climate crisis. These can seem exhaustingly complex and convoluted, making it hard to understand what really matters in this most important of subjects. This workshop reviews some of the best respected models for getting to Net Zero, including work by Zero Carbon Britain, Project Drawdown, and Bill Gates. It will review these models at a macro-scale to describe the essence of how they propose for net zero carbon to be achieved, and comparing them for similarities and differences. A discussion will follow. Staffan and Andrew are Green Christian members who are passionate about understanding the climate crisis, to better inform our response to it. Staffan has worked as a Civil Engineer and strategist in infrastructure and services, and Andrew has a career in waste management and as a minister. |
