Dr. Coomi Vevaina is an educator, storyteller, researcher, and author we are glad to present Dr. Coomi Vevaina as our second speaker. Dr. Vevaina is the former head of the Department of English, University of Mumbai. She has won several awards such as the G.S Rao memorial award for outstanding contribution to the teaching of English (2012), Best Researcher and teacher in the University of Mumbai (2009), Award of merit from the Indian Association of Canadian studies to name a few.
She has created “Word fully Yours”, an association which aims to train adults in the art of storytelling and has also authored several stories for children like “Bernice Banana” and “Angry Angara”. She has authored 10 books and 58 articles in various prestigious journals. She is also responsible for designing an innovative, learner-centric approach to education techniques. Her 2013 book “Source-full Intelligence: Understanding uniqueness and Oneness through Education” was one of the 18 best-published books in the USA.
