One person has been confirmed dead and six others are missing after a boat carrying 23 people capsized in Lake Baringo.
Baringo county police commander Julius Kiragu said the overloaded boat succumbed to strong winds. Its passengers are said to have been faithfuls from the revival church who were travelling from Salaban sub location to Kokwa Island on Lake Baringo. Deputy governor Felix Maiyo who visited the area has cautioned boat users to be careful.
