Will Gaza aid pier be enough to save famine-stricken Palestinians? | DW News |

Aid has started arriving in Gaza via a US-built temporary floating pier.
Trucks rolled across the pier for the first time, bringing aid into the besieged enclave as Israeli restrictions continue to disrupt deliveries of vital food and other supplies at Gaza border crossings. The US and aid groups hope to increase deliveries at the pier to as many as 150 trucks per day. Despite the efforts, the head of the UN's food program says there’s a “full-blown famine” in northern Gaza. 00:00 Background 03:07 Tess Ingram, UNICEF 08:08 Shaina Low, Norwegian Refugee Council Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/user/deutschewelleenglish?sub_confirmation=1 For more news go to: http://www.dw.com/en/ Follow DW on social media: ►Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/deutschewellenews/ ►Twitter: https://twitter.com/dwnews ►Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dwnews ►Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/dwnews_hangout Für Videos in deutscher Sprache besuchen Sie: https://www.youtube.com/dwdeutsch #gaza #famine #aid |
