ENCANTO: JUST WHAT THIS MOVIE WAS MISSING
The good thing about having insomnia is that I can always take the time to bring a new video. Encanto is the new Disney film focused on Colombia and that to tell the truth the only good thing about it is all the references to Colombian culture that, to be honest, as a Mexican that I am, I don't know if I am capable of understanding all the references, But if there is someone here from Colombia, they will surely love the representation of their uses and customs in this film, that and the character design is also cool, there I found two new waifus and not the protagonist, it is not bad vibes, but like this it is this. The story revolves around the Madrigal family, an extraordinary family that lives in a house where everyone has a special gift (like the X-Men) except Mirabel who would be the protagonist, she apparently has nothing special except that well ... is the protagonist, she apparently has nothing special until a series of unfortunate events reveal that she is the key to saving the family and their home. The animation is the same as Disney has been managing us for some time now, nothing new really, yes: the landscapes and the setting look spectacular, I am not going to complain about that, the design of the characters as I said, It is very good and good I think there is not much to say about this film, it feels like one more story but I think its strengths are the music and the setting, I really don't know almost anything about Colombian culture so almost no I was excited like when I saw Coco and honestly I almost did not enjoy it for the same thing ... that or I am just very stupid. The music is quite forgettable except for a couple of songs out there that I think are the best thing about this movie since well ... yes, they are quite good, but in general they are not as memorable as the powerful "Let It Go" from Frozen and it also has me in conflict that literally the whole story takes place inside the Madrigal house, literally, 95% of the story happens in that place and it is a little tiring to see the same scenarios. Nor am I saying that it is a bad movie, it is simply very simple in my opinion, I think that more than the story, the main attraction of #Encanto is the representation of Colombian culture and the music composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, but equally I recommend it to you to hang out and enjoy how colorful and visually impressive it is, do not miss the opportunity to see it in IMAX format. My rating for this movie is: 6/10 Don't miss this movie if you like: - Frozen - Moana - Raya And The Last Dragon - Coco From the soundtrack you listen to Carlos Vives with the song “Colombia, Mi Encanto”. Thanks for watching. |
