Ukraine’s military claims that it has killed over 300 Russian troops in the east and south over the last 24 hours. The EU has said that Putin is making a “very dangerous nuclear gamble” and must “stop such reckless behaviour”. EU spokesperson Peter Stano added that Putin is using the nuclear element as part of his “arsenal of terror”. Jailed Kremlin critic Alexey Navalny has warned Russia’s partial mobilisation of reserve troops will lead to a “massive tragedy”. China has called for ceasefire and a solution through "dialogue and consultation" after Putin’s mobilisation order. Meanwhile, all flights out of Russia were sold out just hours after Vladimir Putin declared a partial mobilisation of reservists. Lithuania is raising the readiness level of its army's rapid response force "to prevent any provocations from the Russian side". Putin suffered a coughing fit and experienced chest pains when trying to record his latest speech, as per the General SVR Telegram channel. Russia Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has said that his country is at war not so much with the Ukraine as it is with the "collective West".
