TRIVIA:

The original tagline of "The War Begins 2003" was removed from all promotional material due to the political climate of the time, and the war in Iraq. The line was changed to simply “Coming Soon”.

In the original script, during the scene in which John was sitting on a bridge, he was actually thinking about suicide because his life has no meaning without Judgment Day.

An early draft had a completely different storyline from the film, in which John Connor is a successful computer programmer, who ends up being instrumental in the activation of Skynet. Sarah Connor is also featured in the film. The evil Terminator is a shapeshifter, but also can take on a gaseous energy form.

The skulls in the future scenes were made from ping-pong balls.

COCK-UP'S:

#1:
In the voice-over, John claims he was 13 when he was attacked by the T-1000 inTerminator 2: Judgment Day, but John Connor was 10 in that movie (However Edward Furlong, the actor playing John Connor was 13 at the time of filming).

#2:
In the flashback scene showing an HK flying over the water it is using a high power floodlight to look for its targets. Since it is basically a terminator, it would be equipped with infra-red like the T series and would not require an additional light source to operate at night.
