But there are creatures that can live much longer — or much shorter — than we humans can without any “refueling.” For example, sharks only feed when necessary, being able to swim around hungry for 70 days. And they don’t eat much: 3-7 pounds per day is usually enough for a shark to be content.

By the way, have you ever wondered how long can humans survive without food? Well, given enough water, we can go without food for about 2 months! It's not a long time, especially compared with creatures that survive the most extreme conditions on the planet and live happily without food or water for 30 years. Wow!
