아프가니스탄 강진 사망자 4천여 명으로 급증

We begin in Afghanistan where the Taliban has said that the death toll from a devastating earthquake over the weekend has now surpassed 4-thousand people.
The Taliban on Monday, added that almost 2-thousand homes across 20 villages were destroyed and that 9-thousand people have also been injured. Rescue operations are still ongoing.
A 6-point-3 magnitude earthquake hit 40 kilometers northwest of the city of Herat on Saturday followed by back-to-back aftershocks, with magnitudes surpassing 5-point-5.
The event is being called the deadliest natural disaster the country has seen in decades.
The UN has called for immediate help and medical supplies, as Afghan hospitals are struggling to treat the injured.
