If you want your solos to sound more “authentic,” there’s a crucial concept you need to think about: dynamics.

“Dynamics” is when you create contrast between different elements of your solo. For example, if one part is played quietly, then the next part is played loud (or vice versa), that’s adding a dynamic element to what you’re playing.
