Polestar 1 2021 review: should you buy one before it's gone? |
|
The Polestar 1 is unlike anything on the road today. Although it looks a whole lot like a Volvo coupe, which doesn’t come as a huge surprise as Polestar is a sub-brand of the Swedish carmaker, it is in fact a twin-charged (that’s turbo AND supercharged) plug-in hybrid super GT that puts much more emphasis on electric power than any of its rivals.
Here's the kicker though: it costs in excess of £130,000. That might seem a tad steep for a car that looks like a sleek Volvo and is only available in left-hand drive. What’s more, it faces stiff competition from the likes of the Porsche 911 Turbo S, Bentley Continental GT and BMW M8. So, is it worth it?
