Session 65: Broadband from Space: SpaceX/Starlink & Amazon/Kuiper

video thumbnail
Join in as we take a deeper look at LEO systems and their potential to actually connect the unconnected.

Are broadband funding programs leaving out an innovative way to connect the most poorly served communities and their anchor institutions? Low earth orbit (LEO) satellites are already connecting certain hardest-to-reach areas and may be a near term solution in remote, rural communities.

As LEO satellite broadband expands, growing competition has the potential to drive lower prices and new innovations, further improving service quality. Speakers will discuss current experiences and future potential for LEO satellite broadband to reach communities with few if any other options.

Hear about existing and planned services from SpaceX/ Starlink and Amazon/ Kuiper.
