Make stairs easier, even if you have knee pain! |

Unlock MORE strength ✅
In order to feel strong and confident on the stairs you need a few things: ✨ strong hips ✨ strong knees/thighs ✨ ankle mobility ✨ knee mobility ✨ ability to lift your leg up to the next step I know it may seem like a lot but don’t worry! This lateral step up, basically doing a step up sideways can help to build a few of these at once! 🙌🏼 When you step up the stairs sideways you work your hips, ankles AND thighs in a slightly different way then stepping up forward ☝🏽 I’ve also found that if you have knee pain stepping up forwards, these lateral steps tend to be nicer on the knees 👀 Practice on the first or second step. We used the second step in this video so she could have access to the handrail ☝🏽 ⚠️ As always, use appropriate support such as a railing or have another person there to help if necessary ⚠️ Try 5-15 of these depending on how they feel for you, 2-3 sets if possible ✅ If you’re looking for more ways to build strength going up or down the stairs, an entire level in Adventurers for Life is dedicated to improving strength and balance for stairs and getting up from the floor 😍 But you need a strong foundation of strength first.
