Introduced in June 2021, the fifth-gen Kia Sportage will be due for a facelift around the middle of 2024. The updated model, like the existing one, is likely to be offered in hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants in the U.S., with the changed expected to bundled into the MY2025 series.

The new Sportage Hybrid and new Sportage Plug-in Hybrid are likely to feature a thoroughly redesigned exterior, a more high-tech interior, and upgraded powertrains for higher performance.

Expected to debut the same year Hyundai’s facelifted Tucson Hybrid and facelifted Tucson Plug-in Hybrid as well as Toyota’s next-gen RAV4 Hybrid and next-gen RAV4 Prime begin arriving at U.S. dealerships, they’d need to be much more competitive than the current models to stay with the competition.
