I discovered that my 7-year old son could understand Atomic Theory | Ian Stuart | TEDxBundaberg

video thumbnail
Ian is passionate about teaching kids about Atomic Theory and shows evidence and examples of their understanding at such a young age. Ian Stuart taught High School Chemistry and Physics for 20 years before reinventing himself as an Adventure Tourism Operator, before then again returning to his role as a Science Teacher. After an epiphany, realising that kids from 4 years of age could understand Atomic Theory, he switched to teaching at Primary Schools. He now teaches the Periodic Table, Molecules and Atomic Structure to students 10 years earlier than normal. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
