Disruption is not the friend of the linear | Claudia Batten | TEDxScottBase |
|
The world of exponentially advancing technologies and disruption mean that our traditional linear modality no longer functions. But what should replace it? In this powerful and challenging talk, business leader Claudia Batten offers an alternative: squiggling.
In 2002 Claudia Batten co-founded Massive Incorporated, a first of its kind platform for advertising in video games. Four years later, she sold the company to Microsoft. She went on to co-found Victors & Spoils, the first advertising agency built on crowdsourcing. French company Havas bought a majority interest in the agency in 2012. Claudia is now the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise Regional Director for North America. In 2013 she was awarded a Distinguished Alumni Award from Victoria University of Wellington and in 2014 she became the youngest ever recipient of the prestigious 'Supreme Award' at the Kea World Class New Zealand Awards. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx |
