Description: Stress is often identified as a type of change that causes emotional, physical or psychological strain. This is because stress manifests in the body and is the body’s way of letting us know that there is something that needs our attention or requires action. Stress can manifest in the body as headaches, indigestion, high blood pressure, chest pain, problems with sleeping and intimacy. Chronic stress can lead to emotional problems, depression, panic attacks and other forms of anxiety. This workshop focuses on healthy and positive ways to cope with stress to make living with cancer less consuming over the body and mind.
