India suspends visas for Canadians as row escalates - BBC News

India has suspended visa services for Canadian citizens, as the row over the killing of a Sikh separatist on Canadian soil continues.

Tensions were raised earlier this week as Canada said it was investigating "credible allegations" linking India with the murder of separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

India rejected the allegation calling it "absurd", before visa service provider BLS posted that visas have been suspended “due to operational reasons”.

Analysts said relations between the countries, which have been strained for months, are now at an all time low.
