He's the founder of kyokushin karate, Mas Oyama is one of those amazing pioneers of the early days of karate. Studying under some of the greatest icons including Gichin Funakoshi and Cat Yamaguchi, Mas Oyama developed an extremely powerful form of full-contact style of karate. Oyama also became one of the arts' biggest advocates for promoting the benefits of karate. He was a leader, a pioneer, a founder, and a teacher.
