Others are still concept cars or are still in the early phases of development, while several forthcoming EVs have already been formally unveiled with the promised specifications and launch dates.

EVs of all sizes and shapes are starting to appear in quick succession, whether it's a fully electric version of an existing automobile, an optional electric powertrain that becomes available as part of a vehicle's makeover, or a brand-new electric vehicle that's been designed from the ground up.

NIO ET5 Electric Sedan

The ET5 is a compact version of the ET7 saloon, which was released by Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer NIO after its ES6 SUV and ET7 saloon. The ET5, which is 4.7 meters long and has a drag coefficient of 0.24, has a comparable profile and a massive 150kWh battery that gives it a range of more than 621 miles. A 150kW asynchronous front motor and a 210kW permanent magnet rear motor produce a combined 483 horsepower and 442.5 pound-feet of torque. This makes 0-62 miles per hour possible in just 4.3 seconds, despite the size of the cells. A complete stop from 62 miles per hour may be achieved in 33.9 meters with four-pot brake calipers. Apart from the numbers, the interior generally emphasizes luxury.

Hyundai Ioniq 7
The Hyundai Seven Concept, which was displayed at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show, will form the basis for the Ioniq 7. The huge electric SUV is equipped with an elegant LED DRL strip that spans the whole of the bonnet line. Under the hood, there is a sizable grille section with an illuminated light feature. The Seven Concept's interior has swiveling lounge seats, a lounge bench, and a retractable driver seat, giving the impression of being in a lounge.

Polestar 3
The Polestar 3 is a mid-size electric SUV that will be produced at the same Volvo plant in Charleston, South Carolina where the Volvo S60 is now made. Polestar has stated that it plans to aim for WLTP ranges of more than 600 km which is approximately 373 miles. The "Luxury Aero SUV" should then give a range of about 300 miles, according to the EPA's estimates.

Lotus Electre Electric SUV.
The all-electric "Eletre," the first SUV produced by Lotus, will be on sale the following year. The Eletre, the first of four upcoming EVs from the British sports car manufacturer, is a high-performance, luxurious crossover. Eletre will come in a variety of flavors and with a long list of choices, but all of them will have batteries with capacities greater than 100 kWh, or roughly 592 horsepower, a top range of 373 miles, and a recharge time of 18 minutes using a 350 kW charger. The Lotus Eletre's release date is set for 2024. In addition to certain overseas markets, such as China, it will be sold at Lotus dealerships in the US.

Chevrolet Equinox
The Equinox EV, is a small two-row electric crossover that will go on sale in 2024 as a 2023 model, and will compete with the Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6. The Equinox EV, which is based on GM's expandable Ultium Platform, will come in single- and dual-motor configurations and, in theory, be capable of producing up to 580 horsepower. Chevrolet has already stated that LT and RS trims will be offered, catering to consumers searching for a sportier crossover EV. Both fleet and retail versions will be offered.

Tesla Cybertruck & Roadster
Undoubtedly, for the next many decades, the Tesla Cybertruck will be the vehicle with the most distinctive appearance. The all-electric truck has already experienced two delays, if it ever comes. The Cybertruck was initially scheduled to go into production by Tesla in late 2021, but it was then postponed until late 2022. Elon Musk announced that Tesla would not be introducing any vehicles in 2022 in response to speculations that the Cybertruck was once again being delayed.
