The impacts of our words on prejudice | Gabriela Rodrigues | TEDxYouth@EAB

video thumbnail
Gabriela Rodrigues uses her family's touching personal experiences with adoption to express the importance of being intentional and politically correct with our vocabulary, for others and for ourselves. Gabriela is a senior at the American School of Brasilia and very passionate about public speaking, having completed a course on it at Harvard University to enhance her skills. Her inspiration lies in her siblings, three of which have special needs, which has led to her goal of becoming an activist for disabilities and adoption to change the way these matters are perceived. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
