Voting is being held on Friday (November 17) for all 230 seats of Madhya Pradesh Assembly and 70 seats of Chhattisgarh. There are a total of 90 assembly seats in Chhattisgarh, out of which 20 were voted in the first phase (November 7). In Chhattisgarh, 76.47 percent voting took place in the first phase.

Election campaigning in both the states had stopped on Wednesday (15 November) evening. Counting of votes for the remaining three states Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram as well as Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh assembly elections will take place on December 3. The main contest in both the states is between BJP and Congress. Both the parties have made many promises in their respective election manifestos.

According to news agency IANS, more than 5 crore 60 lakh voters in Madhya Pradesh will decide the fate of 2,533 candidates. State Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan has said that voting will be held from 7 am to 3 pm at polling stations of many assembly constituencies of Balaghat, Mandla and Dindori districts. Whereas, in the remaining assembly constituencies, voting will be held from 7 am to 6 pm.

Mock poll will be conducted 90 minutes before the start of voting. He further informed that 64,626 polling stations have been set up in the state, out of which 64,523 are main polling stations and 103 are auxiliary polling stations. The number of critical polling stations in the state is 17,032. At the same time, the number of vulnerable areas is 1,316. 4,028 people who created obstacles during this election have been identified. Preventive action has been ensured against everyone.

According to Chief Electoral Officer Rajan, 5,160 polling centers of the state will be completely operated by women polling personnel, there is a team of women officers and employees at these polling centers, while in order to create confidence and respect among the disabled people, a total of 183 polling centers will be for disabled people. Will be operated by. 371 youth managed booths have been created for the first time, while 2,536 model polling stations have been created. 50 green booths have been made in Jabalpur district and 57 in Balaghat.
