[ASMR] How to Cure Salmon Roe | IKURA | SUSHI | Takoshiho Cooks Japan |
![]() |
It's time for "Ikura" which is cured salmon roe!
Soy sauce based marinade (*Recipe is below) is the standard one, but I made 2 other kinds of marinade: Dashi broth and Miso mixture. If you never tried salmon roe, it worths trying! It has the slight briny flavor with a unique texture, first loose on your tongue, then the burst of flavor as each egg pops open onto your palate. I'm gonna upload Harako-Meshi video sometime soon which is my absolute favorite rice bowl that my grandma makes every autumnš. It has soy sauce based cooked salmon and a lot of salmon roes on top. I wanted to make the dish, so I made marinated salmon roe first. So this is the video!
