SpaceX Transporter-3 Mission - Falcon 9 Rocket Launch from Pad 40 & Landing at LZ-1 on 1/13/22 |
|
While I am not a professional videographer, I love a good launch and landing, so I did my best to capture what it’s like to be just a few miles from this amazing feat! Since this mission flew south, it went right over me, which made the sound of launch last for quite a few minutes longer than normal, so there is a bit of time where I’m not focusing on anything in particular, just recording the lasting sound. When the first stage of the rocket starts returning, be ready for the double sonic booms that you hear right at the same time as the rocket lands. I had my elbows resting on my knees to steady my camera for the booms and still jumped a mile, which is just part of the fun! Add seeing a rocket launch in person to your bucket list!
