Derek McInnes asks why Celtic forward wasn't shown red card |

🗣️'If you're looking for consistency, we're not getting that from VAR'
Derek McInnes claims there are inconsistencies within VAR as the Kilmarnock manager makes Oh Hyeon-gyu and Vassell challenge comparisons. Kilmarnock has failed in their bid to overturn Kyle Vassell's red card in their 2-0 defeat to Hibs. McInnes states: "I'm not looking for a red card there, but likewise, Kyle Vassell shouldn't be red-carded at Easter Road. So there is inconsistency. When you see the still of it, his boot is right in his face. Now I don't think that's a red card in the same way that I didn't think Kyle Vassell was at Easter Road. VAR looking at the same incident so it wouldn't have helped at the end of the day, but you know if we're looking for consistency, then we're not getting that from VAR. If Vassell is a red card at Easter Road then that is more or less, maybe even more dangerous. In fact, it is more dangerous and a red card." The Scottish Premiership fixtures ended Kilmarnock 1 Celtic 4. Ange Postecoglou stated after the game: "He (Oh) has shown already that he has quality, and he's a young player who can still develop. With more game time and experience, we believe he can become an important player for our team. "We have a lot of games coming up and we need to rotate our squad to keep everyone fresh. Oh will definitely get more opportunities to showcase his skills, and we're confident he'll take them." Postecoglou also praised the team's performance against Kilmarnock and their progress towards another league title. He said: "It's important to keep winning and building momentum as we approach the final stretch of the season. The players have been working hard, and I'm pleased with the results we've been getting." With Celtic looking strong and Oh Hyeon-gyu set to receive more chances to impress, both the player and the team will be hoping to achieve success in the remaining fixtures. Fans will be keeping a close eye on the South Korean's development and are excited to see what he can bring to the table as he continues to settle into life at Celtic Park. #cinchPrem | #KilmarnockFC | #CelticFC |
