Check out this recording of the “Youth & the Global Agenda” webchat to hear Nicol Perez, the U.S. Youth Observer to the UN and former Youth Observers talk about how young people can get engaged on important global issues such as climate change, refugees, violent extremism, UN development goals, and more.
There are more young people in the world than ever before, with 1.8 billion people between the ages of 10 and 24. Youth voices matter. What do you feel are some of the important issues facing the world's youth? How can you play a role in helping to solve these challenges? These questions and more were answered during the live event. An on-camera viewing group was hosted at the U.S. Department of State's Benjamin Franklin Library in Mexico City where students asked the speakers questions about topics that are important to them.
