The Art of Rebellion follows the LA-based political street artist recognised for her socially conscious, hand-painted murals. Not the typical profile of a street artist, Lydia is 40-something and a single mother of two kids, one of whom is autistic. Lydia also has Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a progressively debilitating disease that threatens her livelihood. Lydia pushes against painful symptoms as her disease progresses, using shoelaces to secure paintbrushes to her hands as they lose their grip, to complete paintings for her first gallery show, declaring 'I dare you to make this my last year, I love my life - try and take it from me.'


People all over NZ can enjoy world class documentaries this June at the 17th annual Doc Edge Festival to be held online nationwide from Wednesday 1 June - Sunday 10 July with special one-off screenings of selected films in-theatres to be enjoyed in their full cinematic glory.
