In Sirhajwan’s talk, he shares how he managed to change the conventional “pen and paper” way of teaching, to a much more innovative one… all because of a single, simple approach. Sirhajwan is an English language teacher who have won multiple awards including SEAMEO-Australia Education Links Awards 2018, Community Award For Citizenship 2018 (Dubai) and Innovation & Entrepreneurship Excellence in Teaching Awards 2017 (Paris). He has been the leader of his school team comprising of teachers and students that have won numerous innovation medals and research awards in Italy, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei & Singapore. He is passionate in helping others unleash their true potential and embrace their true selves. Being a Sabahan, he is eager to explore how the indigenous stories of the state can be used to raise students' understanding of their origins and identities so they can learn to appreciate and be proud of who they are and where they come from.
